SYNOPSIS:

No one wants Mr. Nice Guy…

A surprise marriage proposal from her perfectly nice Rugby playing boyfriend, Rick, has Ivy Cooper heading for the hills. She isn’t looking for a comfortable future, she wants something more, something that will make her heart race.

And her heart only beats harder when she’s with Jack, her playboy boss. While Rick’s comfort is cozy, Jack’s protection makes her feel like she’s in a fortress…and his style of sex…well, it’s like nothing she’s every experienced before…

OUR OPINION:

This is the first encounter I have had with Jane Lark and her work.  I was thoroughly pleased with this read!

The cover is pretty, tagged with a grab you line, if you like the bad boys.  Linking the title and the cover picture together, its pretty much a given you are in for a fast and wild time.

Just for the Rush is almost 400 pages long, which took me around the 6.5 hour mark to finish.  The book is perfect for a reader who likes to read a bit at a time...it was easy to put down and pick right back up, without losing anything.  Also perfect for the binge reader, it could easily be read in one sitting on an indulgent day off.  I had a couple things pop up, but most of it was read binge style.

This story is pretty much about Ivy's exploration into a wilder life.  It pulled me in from the beginning with the promise of no strings sex and then kept me attentive with the possibility of more.  And all that drama!  Jane Lark did a great job keeping those details to herself, which kept me reading until the very end!

Jack was amazing.  He was hot, entertaining, commanding and wild!  I loved how he pushed Ivy to be more.  A very good lead male character!  There was a unique dichotomy to his character...one minute being very large and in charge...the next being a little vulnerable and needing Ivy.  He was very endearing while being very alpha.

I think if I had any complaints, maybe the drama was drug out too long...but then I am not sure the complete build up would have been there...I just don't know.

All in all I was super pleased with this read.  I'm intrigued with this author and her work.  I will definitely be keeping an eye out for future work.

I am giving Just for the Rush 4 stars.
