Review Time: Under Suspicion by Marla Josephs

Synopsis:

Ethan's story is finally here in this spin off series from Marla Josephs' Alexander Ranch series. The team is still fighting crime and solving cases with a few new faces.

This case has Ethan working with Sasha to find out who is harassing a teacher at the local school and trying to frame their client. Or, is their client guilty?

As the letters turn from harsh accusations to hostile threats, the team must work fast to solve this one before someone gets hurt.

Our Opinion:

So this was a fun little mystery/romance bordering on a little paranormal?  A group of people who could be described as investigators who have special abilities, mind reading, healing, telepathy etc.  This gives them a leg up on investigating and solving mysteries.  Throw in a little romance and you have a recipe for a great read!

I have not had the pleasure of reading anything by Marla Josephs before.  While the author did a great job explaining all of these extra details, I still felt a little lost at times.

The portions of this story that held romance, I personally could have used more.  So much push and pull...I would have liked the characters to not make it so hard all the time...maybe a little more angst.

This story is about 150 pages and for the advanced reader should take 2-3 hours.

Overall a great mystery/romance and I would be interested in reading more by this author.

I am giving Under Suspicion 4 stars.
