PLAY ON

Cover Design By Hang Le

Nora O’Brien chased a dream from Indiana to Scotland, so sure it was the right thing to do. Three years later she was left in her adopted country with nothing to her name but guilt and regret.

Until Aidan Lennox entered her life.

Older, worldlier, a music producer and composer, the sexy Scot should never have made sense for Nora. But somehow in each other they found the light they were looking for, the laughter and the passion—the strength to play on despite their past losses.

But when life dealt Aidan another unlucky hand, instead of reaching for her he disappeared. The agonizing loss of him inspired something within Nora. It fired her spirit— the anger and hurt pushing her forward to take control and reach for her dreams.

Finally pursuing a career on stage while she put herself through college, everything is how Nora wants it. She’s avoiding heartbreak and concentrating on her goals.
Sounds easy but it’s not. Because Aidan is back. And for some reason he hates Nora.

He’s determined to be at war with her.

And she has absolutely no idea why.

Out September 12th 2017 in digital and paperback edition!

OUR REVIEW:

Play On was a win for me from the very beginning.  Easily, I could have given this book 5 stars based off the author's history.  Samantha Young has delivered a quality story from the day I first picked up On Dublin Street and has continued consistently delivering 5 stars with every book since.

For me, Play On was a magically enchanting, tear inducing, heart racing ride that I don't think I will forget for some time.

What I loved most about Nora was how grounded she was.  Her love for those sick children really made her very endearing.  She rarely thinks of herself and I just know that the tough decisions she had to make were not made lightly.

So many times my heart broke in this story and I honestly wondered how much more Nora could take.  But as in the past, Samantha Young has delivered us a worthy heroine.  She is soft and strong at all the right times.  She has great instincts and is just an all around fabulous character.

There were a couple leading men for Nora and I almost want to call them secondary characters.  Nora was definitely the focus in this story.  Jim, Aiden and I almost thought there would be Jack too...but that was quickly squashed.

As far as legitimate secondary characters, I can't wait to see what Samantha Young does.  Play On is listed as BOOK ONE on Goodreads, so I am anticipating there will be more.  I hope she digs in to Roddy and Seonaid...we were presented with Aiden's Rugby buddies...and maybe if all us readers are good, this series will hold out to hear Sylvie's story as well.

After reading Play On, I have to say I really wish I were a screenplay writer.  I truly think Play On deserves to be on the big screen.  Throughout reading the entire book, I could just imagine watching it all in a theater.  Just in case there are any screenplay writers reading this...I truly hope you see what I see and take the time to bring Play On visually to life.

Another fabulous win for Samantha Young!

I am giving Play On 5 stars.
