Review Time: Eliott Redeemed by Scarlett Cole

by - 7:27 PM

SYNOPSIS:

A single mom and tortured musician find common ground in Scarlett Cole's Elliott Redeemed, the second standalone romance about the band Preload.

Elliot "Pyro" Dawson burns up the lead guitar like a legend. But the nickname Pyro isn't just a clever play on words. It's much darker. A past he's fought like hell to overcome.

Grocery store cashier Kendalee Walker is at her wits end and homeless. She's watched her fourteen-year-old son, Daniel, go so far off the rails, he can no longer see the tracks.

When the two are brought together, attraction flares, but can Elliott find the family he never had with the sexy woman and her son, or will he fall back on dark habits?

OUR OPINION:

This is the first book by Scarlett Cole that I have read.  Not a moment of disappointment for me...except that I missed out on book one of the Preload series!

Reading time was a little over 4 hours.  Binge reading Elliott Redeemed is doable...and if you have to put it down and pick up again, getting back into the story line was effortless.

I love this group of band mates, and this story is heart wrenching!  I love how Elliott and Kendalee's meeting was so random and basically left to fate.  The amount of time she spent resisting him, really built the angst in this story and it was perfect.

Anytime there is a story with a child, be it a baby or a teen, and there is a relationship between them and the incoming partner...that is awesome.  It was amazing to see the connection between Elliott and Daniel and watch their relationship grow.

I can't wait to go back and read book one of this series, all while looking forward to what is next in the series!

I am giving Elliott Redeemed 5 stars.
