Our Review:
Loved the Elder by Celia Aaron!
I was totally enthralled in this book from beginning to end. I think Ms. Aaron did a superb job in keeping attention and coming up with twists at almost every turn of the page.
Long time fans will know this isn't a typical Celia Aaron book. I was expecting a bit more sexual content...but I think what I loved most was the anticipatory angst that was in its place. So I was NOT disappointed after all!
One of my favorite things in a suspense novel is trying to figure out what is happening before the end of the story. I was unable here and I loved it! I had to work for it and engage in the book, which I really appreciate!
Total heartstrings moments: Vivi and "Bennon" *insert all the heart eyes here* So sweet!
The elder is told in first person, alternating POV, via Arabella and Benton. Loved them as a couple, and even the secondary characters were pretty interesting! I also think Celia dropped an easter egg in here too, which I love when authors reference their other works! It's like revisiting an old friend!
Reading time for me was about 4-5 hours, read it all in one sitting...because I could NOT put it down. Exhausted the next day...so thanks for that! LOL!
Final Answer: TOTALLY LOVED! Very entertaining, super engaging!
