Villain
Cover Design by Samantha Young
The sexy and emotional companion novella to the New York Times bestselling romance HERO.
Nadia Ray is not just a broadcast meteorologist. She’s Boston’s morning television It Girl. Successful and independent, she’s put a past she’s ashamed of behind her and is forging a future she can be proud of. However, when her new boss discovers her secret he blackmails her, intent on using Nadia’s popularity to make them the number one morning show in Massachusetts. He wants her to be part of uncovering the city’s biggest scandal – a secret billionaire Caine Carraway is hiding.
Soon Nadia is thrown into the path of Caine’s best friend: sexy, wealthy bachelor Henry Lexington. But she doesn’t encounter the dashing high society gentleman Henry is purported to be. Instead she’s faced with an insulting and defensive villain who misjudges her at every turn.
When Henry finally realizes the truth, and decides to make amends, Nadia wants nothing to do with him. But she underestimates his determination and charm and soon they find themselves embroiled in an intense, passionate affair.
An affair Nadia knows must come to an end before their feelings grow any deeper and he discovers her secrets.
After all, Henry Lexington isn’t the only one who played the part of a villain once…

OUR REVIEW:
I am not sure if I am just always in the right emotional place when I read a piece by Samantha Young or she is just that dang good. Her work NEVER fails to bring me an emotional response and Villain was no different.
Super pleased with this companion NOVELLA! It had everything I needed. Villain had me laughing and crying, both within minutes of each other.
I think people are really going to LOVE Henry. Really he was what made this whole story for me. On the surface he is the entire package. A charming aristocrat who embodies the entire phrase. Flirting with other women at every turn...I enjoyed watching him lean in to his feelings for Nadia. Deep down?
He is romantic as hell...
"That was when Henry Lexington proved to me he was someone special. He brushed his lips gently over mine and whispered, "I can wait, Sunshine. You take all the time you need."
...that scene had my heart in my throat.
And his talents don't stop there!
"I sucked in a breath at the words, my heart racing at the sincerity behind them. "Henry." If anything he grew harder against me. "You have no idea what my name on your lips does to me."
I don't know how Samantha Young does it every time but she is an expert around romantic gestures and hot bedroom scenes.
You'd never know by my review but Nadia is a character in this book too! Things I like about her: she is strong...determined...straightforward. Funny. She is pretty much a girl you would friend and that made the fact that this was a Novella a little sad. I didn't get to spend enough time with her!
PEOPLE: IT'S A NOVELLA. IT'S SHORTER THAN NORMAL. LET'S NOT GIVE BAD REVIEWS BASED ON ITS LENGTH!
Seriously, even though it is a Novella...not ONCE did I feel like I wasn't getting a full story. I feel like everything was presented, explained and wrapped up without feeling rushed.
The initial storyline has amazing timing as society is currently dealing with these same issues as well. I think that women will really recognize with Nadia in these scenes or they will find a new understanding of women who are sexually harassed in the workplace. Hopefully the takeaway will be positive and beneficial to women everywhere.
I think Villain is a winner for Samantha Young. She continues to amaze me with her writing and I look forward to whatever comes next from her.
I am giving Villain 5 stars.
