Review Time: Mistletoe Me, Baby by Katie Reus
SYNOPSIS:
She needs a fake fiancé…
With the holidays fast approaching, Miranda Flores makes up a fake fiancé so her well-meaning family will get off her back. She just never expected them to suddenly show up on her doorstep a couple weeks before Christmas, wanting to spend the holidays with her. So she turns to Nolan O’Connor, her sexy best friend, and asks him for the favor of a lifetime: she needs him to act the part of her fiancé until her parents leave town.
He wants forever…
Pretending to be engaged to the woman he’s already fallen for? No problem. Nolan agrees to Miranda’s fake engagement scheme because as far as he’s concerned, she’s the one. But he plays his role too well, because soon the entire town thinks they’re engaged and things get more complicated—especially since he can’t pretend with her anymore. Then tragedy strikes and Miranda tries to shut him out, but Nolan won’t let her. He’ll do whatever it takes to convince her that he wants to make her his forever.

OUR OPINION:
Mistletoe Me, Baby was a win for me. Take a guy who secretly loves a girl and add in a fake engagement and I am a happy girl. What clinched this win for me was Mateo, Miranda's nephew. Kids always, ALWAYS add an element of vulnerability to a story that pulls me in. I love watching the outside character fitting into an already made family. Everything has to be done so carefully.
I giggled a little at this story when Nolan is so persistent. Becoming Miranda's fake fiancé was like a green light to him. A bull in a china shop is really how I would describe him. He didn't take no for an answer and Miranda definitely didn't know what to do with him.
Mistletoe Me, Baby has a little bit of drama in it which adds a great element to an already great story.
Reading time for this book was a little over 2 hours...easy enough to get through before bed or on a Sunday afternoon.
I am giving Mistletoe Me, Baby 4 stars.
