Title: Kiss My Ash
Author: Leddy Harper
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: August 9, 2018

Blurb

Ash Jenkins was the typical boy next door. Wait, who am I kidding? There was nothing typical about that boy.

He was tall, ripped, and had the voice of a man twice his age. Intelligent, sexy as sin, and barely legal.

Sent to live with his dad after getting in some trouble with the law, he was definitely someone I needed to stay away from.

But he had his sights set on me, and he didn’t try to hide it.

Did it still make me a cougar if I was the prey?

Our Review:
Right now I am thanking the book Gods that I kept an open mind!

Usually, when I pick up a book its based off the synopsis and a little bit of the cover. It's highly likely that by the time I get to reading the actual book, I have forgotten what the book is even about. But it must have been something that initially grabbed my attention, so no matter what, I push on.

When I started Kiss My Ash and realized it was about a cougar and her bait, I have to admit I grimaced a bit, thinking I wasn't going to enjoy this read very much...but then thought, "now wait one minute. You have no problem when its an older man, so give it a chance."

And I did. And I am SO HAPPY I did.

Can I just ask where were these boys when I was in High School? Ash is definitely not your typical seventeen year old and I am 100% sure that is why he is so easy to fall in love with. He has a maturity about him that surpasses many 40 year old men I have ever met. I think the author did a great job with his character, really developing him into something that will make women everywhere reconsider cougar status.

Kristy I found to be totally relatable. As an older woman, it was easy to put myself in her shoes. How would I feel, how would I react, what would I do? She was graceful and very true to her needs and desires all while maintaining integrity. I was so wrapped up in her, her thoughts and reactions, that I really felt all of her emotions, which made this read a 5 star for me.

You are pretty much on edge from the first chapter on. With these kinds of books, its never a question of if people will find out but when...because they always do, and how the characters handle the situation really shows their depth. I think the reactions were natural and overall all the actions, reactions and emotions were well thought out and translated well to paper.

If you can get over the whole age gap, I highly recommend this love story!

I am giving Kiss My Ash 5 stars.

Author Bio

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.

She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.

She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females.

The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
